It all began over thirty years ago when my father, Pravin Parmar opened one of the first Indian Tandoori restaurants, The Curry Pot, in Leicester. Following its success, he then went on to establish The Tiffin Restaurant (Leicester), which we still run today. The Tiffin is now considered one of the best restaurants in the Midlands, becoming a favourite with the city’s sports players and numerous celebrities from Jools Holland to Rolf Harris. We have also been lucky enough to have catered for the late HRH Princess Diana.

After university I moved to work in the hustle and bustle of London. The busy lifestyle meant I began to rely on buying ready meals. Having tasted my family’s ‘ready meals’ I was very disappointed. I had an epiphany!! I decided that the public deserved a little bit of the Tiffin experience: real food, cooked traditionally, that tasted great! So I packed my bags and headed back to sunny Leicester on a mission. Okay so it’s not always sunny but one can dream. I enlisted the help of culinary experts (my parents), Packaging manager (my sister), Distribution manager (my brother) and Marketing manager (my husband).
